Joanne has had a varied career in Accounting and Finance since leaving school in 1986. Pprevious employers include the Reserve Bank of Australia, NSW Treasury Corporation, JP Morgan and Chilis Texas Grill. I have also worked as a casual TAFE teacher in the subject of Accounting.
In 2002, Joanne found her way into the field of taxation with a position with Hadleys CPAs in Baulkham Hills. It was here that Joanne found my passion in tax law combined with a variety of other business experience allowing her to provide clients with practical and understandable solutions to their accounting problems. She furthered her study within the area of taxation law by completing a Master of Taxation at UNSW and is passionate about providing a premium tax, accounting and business service to Jigsaw's clients.
In 2008 I founded Jigsaw Tax and in 2016 invited Michael Konarzewski to join the business as a partner.
When not at work, Joanne enjoys keeping fit and being a footy mum. Her whole family have been involved in Rugby League over the years and love the sport. Whether it is watching her son play, her husband coach, or watching professionals play on television - if it is Rugby League she will be there.
She lives in a house full of boys - to escape reality for a while she loves to read a book, drink a glass of wine or watch TV. Her favourite times are when the whole family are over for dinner and can all sit around the table sharing a meal and a conversation.
What makes her a different accountant
"I love taking the puzzle out of taxation by trying to make things as simple as possible so that clients can understand complex discussions. I'm passionate about mybusiness and want my clients to feel the same about their business as well."
"I am a well qualified general practitioner with a great understanding of the challenges of small business. I particularly enjoy working with some of our specialty areas including primary production, hotels and hospitality and self managed superannuation funds. Another strength is my ability to researching complex issues and coming up with solutions to problems, as well as working in the small business advisory space."
